Now you're talking! If its your first one, make those layers nice and thick. MUCH thicker than you would think they need to be, like 2'-3' total height if you have the materials. Mine typically consist of a double layer of cardboard on the grass, wood mulch, leaves, used coffee grounds, horse/cow/rabbit crap, veggies past their prime (great use of rounded-up jack o lanterns), etc. Top layer of mine is always another thick cover of wood mulch, mainly for aesthetics. Pile it up and let it rot!

Hey Billy! Thanks for the Tips!
Jack o Lanterns!!! Gonna round up some of those on the 1st. for the other 3 gardens we have framed and ready to fill.

He have a Horse and a Goat...providing the manure.

Wondering about the chickens though (not sure)

Chicken manure is some of the best you will find. Pretty strong stuff though... don't overdue it or you will "burn up" your garden!

Thanks PWF....what I meant was do you have to water it to make it turn to mulch before you plant and how long it would be before one could plant (I should have asked the question like this in the first place LOL)

But you answered the basic part of my ill written question .....I'm starting to understand
